Volunteerism is extremely important
to the strength and success of Life Enrichment. We
rely on our dedicated volunteers who give freely of
their time and talents in the interest of others.
We offer many opportunities for you to volunteer with
us.
Board Members - These men and women
have a special interest in the ongoing work of LES
because of their own involvement. They provide LES
with support and guidance.
Advisory Council - The Council gives
much needed advice and guidance to the Life Enrichment
organization. The men and women on the Council are
from the business community and provide fund raising,
marketing and strategic planning advice.
Affiliate Delegates - These delegates
play a vital role in keeping their organizations and
members informed of our services and activities. Their
mission is also to keep Life Enrichment informed about
the needs of their members.
Education Committee - Volunteers
help our Director of Education plan interesting classes
for members each quarter at LES. We rely on volunteers
to obtain instructors for our classes.
Education Support Team - Volunteers
assist the Director of Education operate the education
program that is held in church facilities. Volunteers
participate in numerous ways, including physical and
audio-visual set-up, blood pressure measurements,
and Luncheon set-up. They also help staff sell lunch
tickets, hang classroom signs, and provide information
to members attending classes.
Instructors - Many of our volunteers
teach many of the classes offered at LES.
Office Support - We need people who
are able to help us answer phones, help with mailings,
and other business-related activities.
Handyman Services - Handymen are
men and women who serve other seniors by helping them
out with minor home repairs. Services are provided
at minimal cost. This program helps seniors maintain
their sense of independence as they choose to remain
at home, and gives others the opportunity to remain
active in the community.
Speakers - Volunteers serve as speakers
for important and thought-provoking lectures, as well
as provide fun classes to LES.
Volunteering is so beneficial, not only to the community,
but also to you. Think about the joy you will receive
in knowing that you have helped someone out or made
his or her day. If you would like to volunteer, please
call us at 404.321.9917 or email us at christi.behrend@lifeenrichmentservices.org.
